人生有时候，总是很讽刺。

My Life in Accounting Society

It is a Surprise for me

6 April 2011

The AGM for Accounting Society 

I been nominated and selected be the President 

for academic session 2011/2012

I believe the word I said to all and myself

"If you think you can, You Can!"

But after that,

the former president told me a lot of things

and it sounds very very horrible

I've no idea with it

and plan to resign after the night

However,

I didn't do so at the end

I will challenge myself

and it is golden opportunity for me to learn

and of course

I told myself

"When I got scolded by anyone, he/she raises me up"

So

it began my life in accounting society

Busy Life Started

I was so busy during my study week for 2nd Semester

to do the planning for accounting society

and also changed for the signature

Therefore

I promised to myself

I wouldn't do agm for next year just the week before study week

See I'm treated the new committees so good! xD

The first meeting with Dr Amirul and all the committee members

I was so scared actually.

Meeting in stress condition.

During the Long Semester Breaks

I'm kinda busy during my long holidays from May to August

Work from June to July 

I kept listening phone calls from various organizations during my work hours

Starting from that time

I knew my hand phone and email will be used for "Working Purposes"

It is time for me to learn

and luckily

I did join various activities 

At least I know somethings 

and still managed to handle

I learned and improved my english during August

I'm a Band 3 Students

Therefore

it is very difficult for me to speak fluently

But I have to learn

It is a very big challenge for me

and I have to face it

Before I need to go back to university

Dell has approached me 

They would like to have one session for School of Management Students

Talk by Tom Sweet, DELL on 19 September 2011 Tuesday

Actually I was very worried about the attendance.

Because last minutes I only got the exemption letter from Datin

Really last minutes

But everything move smoothly

On the same day 19 September,

the 1st round interview to select 1st Year Representatives

Because the interview we made it very formal

Therefore

Make a lot of people afraid about it

Here I would like to apologize

if you really felt scared that time.

We're kind people actually =P

And every time interview session

sure the air-con can't function

Last year when I been interviewed,

the same problem occurred too.

Final round interview

 Again the air-con in ARC Room not functions again.

Therefore the interview session held at Training Room.

Accounting Night

4 October 2011 Tuesday

We made it as formal event for this year

Last year wasn't under HEP

but this year

we changed a lot.

Last time it was informed us about the accounting society

and ask us to go to interview to be the committee during accounting night.

But this time,

we changed it to ANNOUNCEMENT for 1st year representatives.

And also

this event is under HEP

and we managed to ask the accounting direct seniors to join.

Last time was just committee only no other seniors.

Accounting Night is the event that move most smoothly.

We managed to get the place, DUD

And I do remember that night was my brother wedding

Therefore I back to my hometown before finish the event.

Initially I would like to skip for accounting night.

But because this is first event for our beloved small kid juniors,

therefore,

I rush here and there.

See,

I'm so good to Accounting Students =P

Initially Dr Adeline and Mr Ang Ji Li would like to attend

But due to unforeseen circumstances, 

they couldn't attend.

Just Dr Dayana

and we didn't prepare the programme flow for them

So sorry for that 

School of Management Interaction Day

22 October 2011

We were so difficult to get the venue

and also the date that suitable

Really

We changed many times for the venue and date

Management Society would like to do it in September before PPSL

But Accounting Society would like to do it after our Accounting Night

8 October 1st year students had PPSL

15 October all the SOM Lecturers had seminars.

22nd 1st year students have hep seminar.

But luckily hep can exempt you all not to attend the seminar.

If not, 

we really couldn't get a date!

Our Big Family:

Management and Accounting Societies 

We planned to industrial visit in KL

But unfortunately 

we faced a lot of problems as well.

Therefore,

at last we just went for industrial visit in Penang

Initially we would like to industrial visit to PwC

Why Deloitte?

Ask me and I will tell you personally =P

But we did enjoy actually

=)

Limited Places therefore 1st year couldn't join

The most worried event is

ACCA DAY!

26 November 2011

We planned since holidays.

But 

everything didn't settle until last minutes.

I was really very worried.

We planned to do it off-Campus

at Batu Ferringhi 

Or Pulau Kerachut

Or somewhere near to Jelutong

But unfortunately

due to time constrain and budget problems,

we "forced" to do it on-campus.

Even on-campus,

but we were also faced the same problem.

We couldn't find a suitable venue.

At last,

one DK can be booked.

But it was successful also at the last.

ACCA Talk Session.  

ACCA Team Building Games

We made a big mistake

We couldn't let the participants to tick their attendance before the games stated.

We must tick their attendance after the games end.

That's why a lot of people run back to hostel after tick the attendance.

And of course,

the T-Shirt of ACCA.

Apologize on it.

The reason has been told by the Project Director.

Sorry to all the participants.

At least you got your certificate and enjoy right

3&4 December 2011

it was so fantastic!

2days 1 night

and 5-star hotels.

Fully sponsored by HEP and Accounting Society

The rooms are very very special

Differences types of Room

Some are for business purpose

Some are for family 

Some are for Honey Moon

Some are for lake view

It was awesome!

The best hotel I went! =)

We did enjoy the 5-star service there

The food was so amazing as well.

Actually,

before this

I was so stress 

I need to apply for sponsor from HEP

I need to apply for sponsor from SOM

And time constrain!

And also, 

I couldn't find the bus to there

all the USM Bus been booked

HEP Bus J. Pembangunan Bus

Even I apply Engineering Bus

And failed also.

I was so afraid.

But very lucky,

I got the outside bus to go there at the last day!

And everything move smoothly at last.

We got award for our discussion&presentation

The first event in 2nd semester, 2011/2012

Accounting Professional Pathway

30&31 March 2012

We didn't collaborate with management society

The reason is we are just targeted Accounting Firms and Accounting Professional Bodies

I stated find the sponsors during my 3rd semester final exam

And approached them before Chinese New Year.

I learn a lot actually in sponsorship department

I was the only one in sponsorship department.

So Proud! LOL

But there's a lot of phone calls from organizations everyday

You must be aware your hand phone for all the time.

Even though there's a lot of internal problem occurred for this event,

and also the venue problem occurred again,

but it was success at last.

We're so proud for all the organizing committees and participants.

Thank you for all.

We actually planned to do it on monday and tuesday

But we faced a lot of problems again,

and therefore we forced to postpone it to friday and saturday.

So I need to inform all the sponsors regarding postponed the date.

Fortunately,

their executive directors/speakers are able to attend too.

Thanks a lot!

We managed to get 400+ Students in the first day

And Saturday we managed to get 250 Students.

I really thanks every single effort from all the committees

and also the willingness from participants to attend

I do appreciate.

Thank you for giving me such a big event before I retired!

All the organizations were very satisfied and happy with our APP event.  

CPA Australia Career Expo 2012 at KLCC

on 21 April 2012

What to say?

We just got the approved by Dean on 17 April to attend

And it is priority for committee members and final year students.

But unfortunately all the committee members didn't want to attend.

Therefore, 

it opens for final year students.

And we expect 30 from final years and 6 from 2nd years.

However,

until 19 April Final Year students just gave me 4 names only.

I just got 10 in total to go!

And at that time, 

I haven't settle the insurance and transportation!

It was so stressed for me.

USM Bus always fulled!

But very very very lucky,

there's left ONLY ONE outside bus and is VIP Bus with 28 seats.

But even I got the bus, 

I got the approved letter for insurance,

I still very worried nobody will go!

The name list must come out before the night so that I can pass to HEP on the last day Friday.

I very worried and only asked for help from first year

even though they all had the compulsory finance workshop and 2 BM essays to pass up

and also Bcom exam on monday.

I very very appreciate and thanks to them!

Your single attendance is so important for me!

Finally

I got all the names from first year.

I know,

you all totally different with my batch!

Thank You for helping me.

Without you all,

I don't know what will be going on.

Especially the one who first stated to say "Yes" to me!

I do appreciate!

At least you all enjoy right! =P

and got free Green Colors MyCSD point!

For CIMA-USM Students Conference 2012,

Actually it been postponed and postponed due to many reasons.

And lastly,

it will be organised on 5&6 October.

Don't worry

I got the approved from the Head of Examination Department USM

to use the DUP for our event.

I can't imagine how if CIMA organised in April.

Sure it will be rushed and exams will be effected.

For ICAEW Information Day,

it is also been postponed many times.

We forced to do so.

And for now it will be organised after AGM!

For Accounting Prom Night,

a lot of problems faced also.

And hope that it can move smoothly!

Ya, I do believe!

We didn't collaborate with management society

because the internship time for management and accounting students are different.

I truly hope that first year committee members can attend it.

Because the final year students really need the number of people to reach 80-100 students.

Stand on the side of 1st year,

because the price is really too expensive 

and for girl is need to make up and buy dress and etc.

So we shouldn't compulsory anyone to attend.

But stand on the side of final year students,

they will graduate soon.

If we're final year students,

we sure hope that the accounting prom night can be held smoothly

and can get the number of students to go.

Chinese has one idioms:

"Palm of hands are meat, Back of Hands are meat also"

So actually I also don't what to do.

Stand from difference sides will have difference decisions.

I will try to reach a good conclusion for both sides.

1 year passed.

It comes to an end.

The stone that I'm carrying soon can put down.

The responsibilities are very high.

It is need all of your commitment.

I'm not perfect but I've tried my best!

To be honest,

I'm not a good decision makers

because I know there's one side will be hurt whatever decision is made.

We learn

and We grow

It is just organising the events.

Shouldn't influence any friendship.

Because different people has different opinion

No one opinion is wrong

Just see where you stand to see the things.

A surprise for me

Today I received the call from School of Management USM.

I was very surprise as they told me I've been nominated and selected by them to be the mentor.

And asked me to go to School of Management immediately to fill in a form.

They said I'm required to go to don't know what Swiss Hotel located in Sungai Petani.

I been told by them that just 5 students been nominated and selected by them.

And I'm one of them!

5 students out of around 1600 students?

Wow! Sounds amazing.

They told me that because of my results are good meanwhile I'm very active in co-curriculum activities as myCSD points are very high!

At that moment,

I really wish to tell them I'm not the suitable person to be selected.

I believe my this semester result will drop dramatically.

And of course,

I'm not that good actually.

I'm very very disappointed in my past mid semester test recently.

The most worst exam that I did in university.

What can I do?

I've already accepted.

I really hope that I can keep maintaining 1st class honors.

The only reason is because I hope that I can transfer my PTPTN to Scholarship.

This can really save a lot in my future.

However,

I'm failed to do so.

For this semester,

I just hope that I can at least maintain dean list.

The most worst,

at least MUST higher than the minimum requirement of my scholarship!

I've told myself that result is not important in my life.

But,

when the things come to me,

I still couldn't put down for the things.

Stubborn?

Adhere?

We must learn to put down everything in our life.

I'm still learning

please give me some times =')

I'm very very busy and stress enough recently!

I hope this week can pass peacefully.

I'm waiting so long for the AGM.

The responsibilities are so high for me.

It is just like I'm carrying a very heavy stone

and walk around my journey.

It is time for me to put down the stone.

And I've found some meaningful things to do in my next semester!

I did my exam.

Unfortunately, it is very bad and worst for what I've done.

All my best friends, they did very well.

I've disappointed a lot of people.

And the most important

I DISAPPOINTED MYSELF.

I HATE MYSELF.

When everybody reach the destination,

Even not reach half way.

The feeling is very sad

You're alone at the middle.
